Hawk News
This week, we begin our first cycle of Progress Monitoring for our scholars. Schedule
News from Dr. Ovalle
Car Circle - Thank you for your patience with the car circle at the beginning of the school year. Just a reminder that we have divided the car circle into two lanes in front of the school so we can accommodate more cars. Once you approach the gate, we expect that you take turns merging into one lane.
School Needs - We are in need of some spiral notebooks, especially in our Science classrooms. If you can donate anything to the school or your school's science teacher, we would appreciate your support.
Xello - Please be on the lookout for an email from Xello. This is our new online career program for scholars to become future-ready. Our scholars will have longer accounts throughout the school year.
Student Pick Procedure - Our neighbors and Circle K have asked us that these are not appropriate pick-up locations for your scholars. There are signs on the streets stating that there are no drop-off or pick-up of students. Please respect our neighbors and the businesses and use the car circle to pick up your scholar.
On the same note, the bus circle or the staff parking lot is not an appropriate drop-off location for our scholars in the morning. Please refrain from dropping them off there in the future.
E-BIKES - Should walked on campus. No riding on for any scooters, or bikes.
ACT Scholar Opportunity
Hello Parents. Here at Seminole Middle School, we have an excellent opportunity for your students. The Arts Conservatory for Teens comes every Tuesday at 8:30 am and provides high-quality education in Visual arts, dance, theater, music production, and game coding. These classes are at no cost to you and taught by professionals in the field. Last year, we had over 75 kids take advantage of this program, and we want your student to have that same opportunity.
You can do so by signing up at https://www.artsconservatoryforteens.org/seminole-middle-school.
As an incentive for your students, ACT is offering the first class that reaches 20 students a Chick-fil-A party. Classes will kick off on Tuesday, September 9, 2025. We look forward to seeing your kids take full advantage of these incredible classes.
